After hospitalizing for bronchitis, Pope Francis is in stable condition

Pope Francis is still undergoing treatment for bronchitis at a Rome hospital, where his clinical status is described as “stable.”

According to the Vatican, the 88-year-old was admitted after his morning audiences. He has been out of breath lately and has assigned officials to read his talks.

The Pope has been advised by medical experts to rest and stay away from public appearances due to his persistent health problems, which include bronchitis.

The Pope, however, has been deemed stable and in good health and is still undergoing treatment for bronchitis.

He watched Holy Mass on television this morning and was given the Eucharist. The Vatican further stated that he alternated reading and resting throughout the afternoon.

Pope Francis hailed the medical staff in Rome, saying, “I would like to thank the doctors and healthcare workers in this hospital for their care: they do such a valuable and tiring job.”

Pope Francis enjoyed a restful second night in the hospital, according to a Vatican official.

As usual, Pope Francis slept soundly, ate breakfast, and read a few newspapers throughout the peaceful night. The Vatican spokeswoman stated, “He continues the therapy.”
