Tragedy Strikes: Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk Dies After Shooting

Authorities and major news sites indicate that Charlie Kirk, a conservative political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on Wednesday during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University. Kirk passed away at the age of 31.

Kirk was addressing a “Prove Me Wrong” table debate when he was attacked in Orem, Utah, during the opening leg of his “American Comeback Tour.”

He had just been answering questions regarding gun violence from the audience.

Witness footage captures the instant that one bullet struck Charlie Kirk in the neck, causing him to collapse while speaking and reveal blood, which terrified the crowd.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox called the murder a political assassination. A motive has not yet been verified by authorities. Since they were unrelated to the shooting, two individuals who had been momentarily held were later freed.

Bipartisan condemnation of Kirk’s death has been expressed. Kirk was called “great, and even legendary” by President Donald Trump, who claimed that no one knew America’s young better. In his honor, half-staff flags have been ordered.

Erika, Kirk’s wife, and their two kids survive him.
