Perhaps the most significant controversy arose in 2019 when Wommack claimed that his son, Jonathan Peter, was resurrected after being dead for five hours. However, these claims were disputed by Desiree (Cannon) Wommack, who alleged that Jonathan was revived at the hospital following an overdose. She also accused Wommack of spousal abuse and silencing her.

In 2020, Andrew Wommack Ministries faced legal action from the Colorado Attorney General’s office for violating state health orders by holding a large gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic.

More recently, in 2024, Wommack expressed support for a potential second American Civil War, suggesting that it could lead the nation back to God.

These controversies and criticisms have led to concerns about the credibility of Wommack’s ministry and its teachings.
