CHRIS MORGAN BIOGRAPHY
Chris Morgan Biography – Chris Morgan also known as Ochogwu is a Nigerian Gospel music minister with a mandate of liberating souls through songs.
EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
He was born on the 25th of May, 1978 in Otukpo, Benue State. He is from Ipole-Igwu, Orokam, Ogbodibo Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. Chris Morgan was born into the family of Mr. Christian Ochogwu and Mrs. Regina Ochogwu as the firstborn of the nine children. It was a Christian home he grew up in.
His talent could not be hidden while growing up and according to him, his mum said he cried in musical tones.
He recalled an unusual encounter he had with the Lord on the altar for three days when he was at the age of 12. He was just a boy selling orange and groundnut. The encounter birthed something significant in him.
CAREER
Chris Morgan did not have a musical background and owing to the fact that he had a humble beginning, he had no access to musical instruments. His passion for music was shown when he approached a pharmacist who owns a keyboard for music lessons. He was chased away by the pharmacist to go and face his studies.
Tenacity is in his nature. Chris Morgan offered to even pay the pharmacist just to be able to have music classes. After some time, the pharmacist needed the service of someone to look after his business in his absence, and that gave Chris Morgan access to a keyboard. He got some basic knowledge before the pharmacist’s arrival.
Chris Morgan went ahead to join a Charismatic band and it is a place he learned to play other musical instruments like; a band, bass guitar, and many others. He started writing songs at the age of 15. He recalled having a vision of himself singing with a big microphone. He would see a mighty hand holding a net and bringing people inside it whenever he is chanting. The mandate was whenever he sings, people will be drawn into the net.
He followed a man of God who wanted him for music directing job in FESTAC Town when he was 16. That opened several opportunities for him and he utilized them.
He has become a household name ever since. He has ministered at major events both locally and internationally. Notable events in which he had ministered were the Europe Premier Christian Gathering (The International Gathering of Champions), in London England, and the KICC Global Watchnight.

He met his wife (Queen Eunice) when he went to minister at Dunamis Gospel Center, Abuja. She was a chorus leader and the way she sang captivated him. They got married and they are blessed with 2 sons namely – Samuel Ochogwu and Caleb Ochogwu. He lives with them in Abuja.
