DANNY NETTEY BIOGRAPHY
Danny Nettey Biography – Danny Tetteh Nettey was a Ghanaian Gospel music minister and songwriter. He was known as one of the pioneers of Contemporary Gospel music in Ghana.
EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
Danny was born on the 19th of September 1968 and went to be with the Lord on the 15th of July 2016. He was born in Accra and he developed his interest in music at a very tender age. He was a songwriter and he has written songs for notable gospel artists in the country.
He had his High school at Accra Academy where he was the music director and also the President of the Local Scripture Union Fellowship.
MUSIC MINISTRY
He founded his group when he started singing and the group is known as “Danny Nettey and Pals”. The group was aimed at taking the Gospel to Secondary Schools and churches across West Africa by the Word and song ministration. He had albums like “Positive Change”, “This Time”, and “I Believe” to his name.
He has the privilege to travel beyond the country and has been able to share platforms with notable Gospel music icons like Bishop T.D. Jakes, Don Moen, Ron Winans, Bebe Winans, Ron Kenoly, Kirk Franklin, Lionel Peterson, Israel Houghton, and Alvin Slaughter.
He was a mentor to many Gospel artists in Ghana and attended vents like “Joe Beecham Ministries” by Pastor Joe Beecham and Nii Okai’s “Saving Hearts” album launch.
DEATH
He was reported by the family members to be found unconscious in the early hours of July 15, 2016. According to the family members, he was gassy through the night and prayed with the family before going to bed. He was found unconscious at 2.00 am and was rushed to the emergency center where the doctor announced his death on arrival.
