In 1997, she embarked on a formal music education journey at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, specializing in Voice and minoring in Music Technology. This period proved to be pivotal, as she received invaluable mentorship from Professor Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran, a significant figure in her musical development. Allyson’s dedication and talent were evident, culminating in the successful completion of her Higher National Diploma (HND) with an Upper Credit.

This chance encounter led to her involvement in the film project, initially titled “Orekelewa.” Allyson was commissioned to compose and perform a soundtrack for the film, which subsequently underwent a title change to “Eji Owuro.”

The release of the film “Eji Owuro” proved to be a watershed moment. Recognizing the exceptional quality of the soundtrack, the studio decided to produce a full-length music album based on the film’s score. The album, “Eji Owuro,” upon its release, achieved phenomenal success, both commercially and critically. This breakthrough propelled Allyson into the limelight, establishing her as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.
