Jimmy D Psalmist Biography – Jimmy Johnson known as Jimmy D Psalmist is a well-known Nigerian Gospel music minister, songwriter, and recording artiste. He was a worship leader at the Dunamis International Gospel Church, headquarters located in Abuja.
EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
He hails from the Southern part of Nigeria. He is the son of Rev. Dr. Mrs. J. J. Essien. Jimmy had a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Calabar in 2007.
MINISTRY
Jimmy D Psalmist started his music ministry at a very young age and has grown to become one of the bug voices in the Gospel music industry.
He was under the tutelage of the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Abuja – Dr. Pst. Paul Enenche and was in the service of God at the ministry for around 9years.
Presently, he is under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Joshua Talena; the founder of Shepherds House Assembly International Abuja – serving God faithfully.
He came into the limelight with his first official album “Golden City” featuring the likes of BOUQUI, Frank Umoh, and many others. He has been going around the globe preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through songs.
“Mighty Man of War” is one of his songs that shook the world and he has promised to never cease releasing powerful songs. He has performed alongside big names in the Gospel music industry such as Ron Kenoly, Donnie Mcclurkin, Joe Praise, and many others.
Jimmy D Psalmist is signed to the International Record Label – Thomas-Alfa Entertainment based in South Africa and Nigeria.
He has ministered in concerts and church programmes. Churches like Dunamis, Living Faith, RCCG parishes – Throne room, and many others.
