Pastor Paul Adefarasin is a gospel preacher and evangelist who was born on January 25, 1963, in Lagos State. His parents are Joseph Adefarasin, a Nigerian High Court judge from Ijebu Ode, and Hilda Adefarasin, a women’s rights activist. He serves as the senior pastor of the Lagos-based House on the Rock Church.
The Experience, an annual interdenominational gospel worship event that draws hundreds of thousands of attendees from across the world, is hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin. The Experience, the biggest free all-night gospel performance in Africa and possibly the entire globe, lives up to its incredible reputation. The concert, which has been going on since December 2005 and is in its 16th year (as of December 2021), comprises some of the most renowned recording artists of our day performing amazing gospel music. Gospel performers such as Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Travis Greene, Sinach, Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Evangelist Tope Alabi, Planetshakers, Chioma Jesus, Eben, Onos, Minister Sammie Okposo, Todd Dulaney, Minister Mercy Blessed (Nee Chinwo), and numerous others have performed at the concert.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin went to Igbobi College in Yaba and St. Saviour’s School in Ikoyi. He continued his education at the University of Miami, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He returned to Nigeria after practicing in Florida. He also completed his studies at the International Bible Institute of London, where he received a Christian Ministry Diploma.
Over 20 inspirational Christian mini-books and multimedia materials have been written, authored, and self-published by Pastor Adefarasin with direct access and mentoring from his spiritual father, Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin married the former beauty queen, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin in June 1995. They are parents of three kids.
