Pastor Priscilla Shirer, an actress, author, motivational speaker, and Christian evangelist, was born on December 31, 1974, into the family of Pastor Tony Evans, a megachurch preacher in Dallas. Her brother, Christian entertainer Anthony Evans, is also a Christian.
Priscilla, who graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies, views it a privilege to assist believers from all backgrounds and denominations in understanding biblical truths both intellectually and practically through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Priscilla Evans was raised with a strong biblical background. She was born on December 31, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, in the United States. Her father, Tony Evans, is the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas. She worked as an intern at a Christian radio station while a freshman at the University of Houston. Before long, Priscilla was receiving calls from listeners asking her to speak at their Bible study groups and other gatherings. She was soon asked to join the Zig Ziglar Corporation’s speaker team after being asked to oversee a weekly Bible study there.
Priscilla has presented a local television program and served as an independent contractor for CBS, but most lately, she has only been concentrating on Christian missionary opportunities. She refers to Evangelist Rev. Billy Graham’s daughter, Anne Graham Lotz, as her ministry mentor.
Priscilla, along with her spouse Jerry, founded Going Beyond Ministries, a speakers’ bureau consisting of Bible professors, one of whom is Priscilla. The Shirers, who are the parents of three young boys, divide their duties between ministry and family. Jerry oversees Going Beyond Ministries’ scheduling and other business matters, while Priscilla continues to serve as a full-time preacher.
To uplift and inspire women in the community, Going Beyond Ministries organizes an outreach program called AWAKEN in their hometown. Thousands of women from many denominations and backgrounds come together for this free event several times a year, intending to ignite revival.
Books and resources for Bible studies are another way that Going Beyond Ministries equips believers.
Priscilla gives speeches all around the world at churches and other gatherings, such as the Going Beyond conference, which is sponsored by LifeWay Christian Resources, and Deeper Still: The Event, where she appears on stage alongside Beth Moore and Kay Arthur. She is a multi-book author as well.
Shirer obtained a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary after graduating from Duncanville High School.
Shirer enrolled at the University of Houston as a freshman in 1993.
Shirer spoke at the 2013 Women of Faith conference in 2013. Shirer debuted in a motion picture in 2015 with the Kendrick Brothers production War Room. Shirer was honored as one of four well-known religious women in October 2016 at The Potter’s House to commemorate the tenth anniversary of God’s Leading Ladies Life Enrichment Program. Jackson, Jerry Jr., and Jude are the three boys that Priscilla and the former Hilton Hotels CEO Jerry Shirer were gifted with after their 1999 wedding.
