Reverend Tom Amenkhienan Biography
Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, a pastor, teacher, and devoted follower of Reverend Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, was born on August 15. At Christ’s Embassy, also referred to as the Believers’ Loveworld, Reverend Tom oversees church ministry.
After becoming a member of the Believers’ Loveworld in 1983, Reverend Tom Amenkhienan advanced to the position of Central Executive Council member. Reverend Tom Amenkhienan is a man who believes in Christians leading honorable and wonderful lives. He has earned numerous honors at the Believers’ Loveworld yearly ICLC and IPPC.
Because of the overwhelming influence of Roman Catholic culture and the leadership roles played by his maternal grandparents in the Roman Catholic Church, Reverend Tom Amenkhienan was raised in a family of Roman Catholics. He was confirmed and baptized as a young child, and he immediately joined the army as an altar boy (mass server). Reverend Tom Amenkhienan claims that the Priests and Reverend Fathers in charge of the local assembly at this young age—most of them were foreigners, particularly from Ireland—purposefully tried to mold, shape, and guide him into becoming a Roman Catholic priest. They accomplished this by urging him to enroll in the Seminary after he reached legal adulthood.
He was raised in this environment and was brainwashed until he met a Christian group for the first time in secondary school. The Scripture Union was the group that at the time organized the fellowship in the school. Reverend Tom was given a gospel sermon, and he attempted to put their teachings on holy living into reality by attending some of their fellowship gatherings.
According to Reverend Tom, his limited comprehension of the theology of salvation at the time led him to abandon those beliefs. Even though his older brother, a born-again student at the university, made multiple attempts to bring his dream of starting a new youth fellowship at the institution to fruition, Reverend Tom did not take him seriously. It was a result of his prior encounter.
Many years later, when he came across a Christian youth organization that was unrelated to his Roman Catholic background, Reverend Tom made the decision to stick to his commitment as a practicing Roman Catholic. This occurred specifically in the 1983–1984 school year, which was his first year at college. A fellow student extended an invitation to him to attend a fellowship gathering on campus.
That night, God mysteriously reached out to him despite his reluctance and lack of interest, and he accepted the life of Christ.
Along with a few other fellowship leaders, Pastor Chris—also known as Bro. Christian at the time—a compelling young guy served as the platform’s minister.
