BISHOP DAVID ABIOYE BIOGRAPHY

Bishop David Olatunji Abioye is the first Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners Chapel International. He is a Bishop and Senior Pastor of Winners Chapel, Goshen City, Abuja with over 30,000 congregations.

BACKGROUND AND MINISTRY.

David Abioye was born on March 11, 1961, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Abioye in Kwara State, Nigeria. He was an exceptional kid while growing up and he gave his life to Christ as a kid. Though he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from University, he found his greatest fulfillment in his present mandate – according to him.

Before his present mandate, he worked as a lecturer at pen Cast Polytechnic, Auchi between the years 1985 to 1986. And everything changed when he met Bishop David Oyedepo (future founder of Living Faith Church). The two met at a Christian Student Fellowship in the year 1980s and what he was in Bishop David Oyedepo inspired him to love God more.

David Abioye received the call of God on his life and entered into full-time ministry at a time when ministers of the Word were tagged failure or poor but he changed the narratives. Looking back to that time, he said “…. I and my wife, newly wedded then had to start up in a small cubicle for an apartment. Among my most priceless possession was my face cap and a 6 spring mattress”.

His relationship with Bishop David Oyedepo surpasses brotherhood to spiritual mentor. When Bishop David’s ministry departed to Lagos, David Abioye stayed behind in Kaduna as the Senior Pastor of Garden of Faith, the former national headquarter of the church. David Abioye became a Bishop in the church in 1993.

Bishop David Abioye is of one the seven founding members of Living Faith Church when it commenced at its former headquarter in Kaduna. From the beginning up until now, his loyalty, support, and stewardship to the ministry and also to his lifetime mentor and spiritual father have been indisputable.

Bishop David Abioye is gifted in equipping the saints of God towards spiritual stewardship, Christian living, and having an intimate relationship with God. He is also an excellent speaker in both religious and secular conferences across the globe. He has written and published many Christian and leadership books.

Bishop David Abioye is married to Pastor Mrs. Mary Abioye and they have three children, namely – David Jnr., Ruth and Daniel.
