David Crowder Asks for Prayers Following Emergency Surgery

Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning Christian musician David Crowder recently disclosed that he’s recovering from emergency surgery after breaking his leg, a setback that has forced him to cancel scheduled engagements.

In an Instagram post, David Crowder hilariously acknowledged his own shortcomings: “I’m not near as athletic as I thought I was, I’ve broken my leg and had to have emergency surgery including some plates and screws.” He also reassured fans, saying, “I’m on the mend and we will figure out how to get back there as soon as we can! Thanks so much for the prayers.”

A planned concert at the Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tennessee, in mid-August was among the shows impacted.

Crowder stated his intention to return shortly, despite his disappointment: “We’re gonna be back at Appalachian Fair because you’re my people and I gotta see you soon.”

Support from fans and other Christian artists poured in right away. According to Pastor Jonathan Pokluda, ““Praying brother! I’m so sorry!”

Quick healing,” Michael W. Smith said. Definitely. Love you,” while others joined in offering up prayers and words of support.
