Huckabee’s Saturday night time slot on TBN has been replaced by the Gaither Gospel Hour, which is presented by Bill and Gloria Gaither. After Mike Huckabee left to take a position as U.S. ambassador to Israel, this programming modification was made. The “Sweet Hymns of Fellowship” program marked the beginning of the Gaither Gospel Hour on February 1st at 8:00 PM EST.
The Gaithers have influenced gospel music for many years by presenting well-known performers in unforgettable shows. They are well-known names in faith-based entertainment, and their new show on TBN promises audiences the same warm camaraderie and timeless hymns.
Filmed close to Franklin, Tennessee, the first episode, “Sweet Hymns of Fellowship,” showcases an incredible partnership between modern musicians and gospel icons. Sandi Patty, the Oak Ridge Boys, Jason Crabb, the Gaither Vocal Band, Selah, and Joseph Habedank are among the 200 voices who gather together in this spectacular. Classic hymns including “I Surrender All,” “Love Lifted Me,” and “Sweet Hour of Prayer” are included.
“It’s an exciting new chapter to bring Gaither Gospel Hour to TBN,” Bill Gaither stated. “We are overjoyed to keep spreading the message and music that have impacted so many people’s lives. Because it captures everything we value about gospel music—its rich history, its timeless melodies, and its capacity to unite people in faith—the Sweet Hymns special is the ideal way to begin this journey.
Over 700 songs, eight Grammy Awards, more than 40 GMA DOVE Awards, and the 2024 Jackie Patillo Leadership Award are all part of the illustrious career of Bill and Gloria Gaither. In the gospel music industry, their Homecoming concert and film series has become a mainstay.
The “Sweet Hymns of Fellowship” album, DVD, and digital release are available now for streaming and purchase, allowing fans to experience the music before the television premiere.
