Mercy Chinwo Distributes Welfare Packages in Port Harcourt

Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband’s organization, Mercy Is Blessed Foundation, recently extended their philanthropic efforts to the Rumudara community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Through the foundation, they distributed welfare packages including rice, garri, tomato paste, yam, fabrics, and financial assistance to elderly residents, single mothers, and economically disadvantaged households.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Mercy Chinwo expressed her joy in bringing hope and support to the community. “On the 30th of December 2024, through the @mercyisblessedfoundation we were honored to visit the Rumudara community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Together, we brought hope and support to elderly residents, single mothers, and economically disadvantaged households. By God’s grace, we distributed bags of rice, garri, cartons of tomato paste, tubers of yam, fabrics, and financial assistance to meet both immediate and long-term needs. It is always a privilege to share God’s love in action and remind communities that they are seen, valued, and cared for. This act of kindness follows a series of philanthropic endeavors by the couple, including surprising a family with a furnished apartment on Valentine’s Day last year and offering scholarships to students at the University of Port Harcourt and the University of Calabar.
