Nigerian Gospel Actor Moses Korede Are Laid to Rest

Moses Korede Are, the veteran actor best known for his portrayal of Baba Gbenro in the Mount Zion television series “Abattoir,” has been laid to rest. The 65-year-old gospel filmmaker and actor passed away in November 2024 after a battle with liver disease.

His funeral, held on Friday in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, was a somber yet celebratory occasion. Mourners, dressed in white and blue, gathered to pay their final respects, honoring the legacy of a man who touched so many lives. Solemn hymns and heartfelt prayers filled the air as family, friends, colleagues, and admirers bid farewell to the beloved actor.
