Pastor Leke Adeboye, the son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), brought the gospel outside the traditional church walls and into the streets in a daring attempt to spread the gospel to the general public.
Vibrant worship, preaching, and open prayers were features of the outreach, which attracted the attention of locals and onlookers.
Pastor Leke Adeboye underlined that the gospel must reach people where they are and was never intended to be contained behind church structures.
“We are called to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. That means stepping out of our comfort zones and bringing Jesus to the streets,” he said during the event.
Believers responded enthusiastically to the campaign, joining in on songs, prayers, and words of support. A large number of people who weren’t attending the event paused to listen; some were moved to tears, while others joined in the worship.
A growing trend among Christian pastors to use unusual venues to share the gospel is exemplified by Pastor Leke’s street ministry.
In addition to fostering spiritual rejuvenation, the occasion served as a reminder that faith is a universal emotion that touches people wherever they congregate.
