In a courageous and sincere declaration, Rev. Austin Ukporhe revealed a very intimate aspect of his life story: how he was sexually assaulted when he was seven years old.
Early in life, Rev. Austin Ukporhe experienced trauma, starting with sexual molestation when he was just seven years old. That suffering swiftly turned into rage, disobedience, and a homeless way of life that drew him into gang culture.
The pastor stated as follows; “I was sexually abused at age 7 and became a sex addicted until i was 19 years old when i encountered the Lord.”
With violence and survival instincts all around him, it appeared like his life was about to end.
But something shifted in the middle of the mayhem. Rev. Austin was healed, redeemed, and given a new purpose after having a profound encounter with God.
Rev. Austin, who is now a well-known pastor, lecturer, and mentor, uses his position to address challenging subjects and motivate others by sharing his story of overcoming adversity to find meaning in life.
His narrative serves as an appeal to the church, local communities, and society at large to pay attention, offer healing, and have faith in the potential for change.
