Following the team’s exciting 3-2 victory over Morocco in the WAFCON final, Rasheedat Ajibade, captain of the Nigerian Super Falcons, went to the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) to thank God.
Ajibade testified in front of the congregation and gave the church her winner’s medal during the visit.
She described her experience, emphasizing her previous trip to the church following her role in the team’s first Olympic qualification in sixteen years.
She also talked candidly about the hardships and injuries she endured during her club season, which left her feeling insecure.
Despite these obstacles, Rasheedat Ajibade said she was able to overcome them because of the church’s Power Must Change Hands program and the prayers she received.
“Last year, I came here to give my testimony. After that, we qualified for the Olympics.
“Then in May, while playing for my club, I had a very tough season. I came here for a deliverance service, but I was dealing with pain and injuries,” she said.
Despite the difficulties, she was named the competition’s Most Valuable Player and was instrumental in Nigeria’s victory.
