Transformation Today: A Daily Devotional With Victor Adeyemi
Topic: Love Your Enemies
“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.” Luke 6:27 (NLT)
Jesus taught us to love our enemies. By loving our enemies, we reciprocate God’s love for us. We often lose sight of God’s love for us by falling to sin. Yet, God still draws us closer to himself when we seek forgiveness and genuinely repent.
God loves you irrespective. It’s this attitude that Jesus expects you to have towards others. Your love for others should be unconditional. It shouldn’t depend on anyone. It takes strength to love. You should draw strength to love from the love you have received from God.
Prayer helps you to love God and love others more. You will find it easier to forgive a person and love them when you pray for them. The strength of your love walk depends on your prayer life. When you pray more, you love more.
I receive a deeper revelation of God’s love and the grace to love others regardless of what they do or say in Jesus name.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT).
