Transformation Today: A Daily Devotional With Victor Adeyemi
Topic: The Grace of Giving
“Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia” 2 Corinthians 8:1
The grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia was the grace of giving. It is the grace of God that empowers to give in faith, willingly and freely. This grace was evident in the life and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. The bible records that Jesus went about doing philanthropy; ministering to the poor, helping the helpless and meeting the needs of those who cannot meet their needs on their own. He could do these by the enabling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38).
One sure way to live a life of prosperity is through giving because when you give, you’ll get a reward which will be in multiples of what you have given. Gen 8:22 says “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest…shall not cease”. Whatever you give is not lost because seedtime and harvest shall not cease. God set this law in motion to ensure that you always reap a harvest for every seed sown.
The harvest of your seeds sown comes to you by grace also. You don’t reap a harvest of exactly what you’ve sown neither will your harvest come with a little interest as the bank does. What you get for your harvest far outweighs the seeds you have sown. God gives us the grace to give freely and He also, in turn, rewards our giving by His grace bountifully.
Confession: I declare that God’s grace is multiplied unto me. I give liberally and freely according to by God’s grace and I reap my harvest in return by His rich grace in Jesus name.
