Transformation Today: A Daily Devotional With Victor Adeyemi
“And say to Archippus… fulfill the stewardship which you have received in the Lord” Col-4:17 (The Amplified Bible)
Stewardship is acting as the surrogate of another, especially by managing their property and financial affairs. It is also the responsible overseeing and protection of something considered worth caring for and preserving.
As children of God, we have all been called to a life of faithful stewardship. In fact, our entire life is a stewardship test of all that God entrusts into our care.
God is the source of all life; all that we are and have belongs to God. Therefore, we have been made stewards of all that we are and all that we have. Understanding this will help us to have a proper disposition to all we have been entrusted with.
Christian stewardship is giving back to the Lord all that we have received of Him; using all for His purpose and according to His will.
I acknowledge that my life and all I have are not mine, they belong to God. I, therefore, give all back to Him, to be used for His purpose and according to His will.
