Dr. Paul Enenche Breaks Silence on Osinachi Nwachukwu’s Death

Abuja, Nigeria – Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has issued a statement addressing the recent controversy surrounding the death of gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu. In a video message, Dr. Enenche refuted claims that the church was aware of the domestic abuse Osinachi allegedly suffered at the hands of her husband.

Dr. Enenche detailed his interactions with Osinachi during her illness, stating that she visited him several months ago complaining of chest pains and respiratory issues. He facilitated her medical treatment, involving consultations with various specialists at prominent hospitals in Abuja.

However, Dr. Enenche revealed that he was unaware of any domestic violence at the time. He stated that he learned of the extent of the abuse after Osinachi’s death, primarily through conversations with her family members and close associates. He emphasized that Osinachi and her family consistently pleaded with those aware of the abuse to keep the matter confidential, fearing repercussions from her husband.

Dr. Enenche reiterated the church’s strong stance against domestic abuse, stating that “it is better to be alive without marriage than to die because of marriage.” He acknowledged that instances of abuse can occur within any community, including the church, and emphasized that the church cannot control the actions of individuals.

Osinachi Nwachukwu, a renowned gospel singer known for her powerful vocals, tragically passed away on April 8th, 2022. Following her death, allegations of severe domestic abuse by her husband surfaced, sparking widespread public outrage and condemnation.
