When selecting a spouse, women should put the vision and mission first, according to Pastor Adefarasin. Before getting married, it’s crucial to take into account a man’s vision and mission, according to the General Overseer of House On The Rock Church.
He advised women to evaluate a possible mate thoroughly and not to base their decision only on a person’s looks or financial standing. Rather, he emphasized how crucial it is to comprehend a man’s goal and his strategy for achieving it.
“Women, when you marry, choose a man based on his mission, something you can align yourself with,” Pastor Adefarasin stated. “Don’t be swayed by superficial qualities. If he lacks a clear vision, marriage is not advisable. And if he doesn’t have a roadmap for his vision, stay away.”
He further emphasized the significance of open communication, suggesting two crucial questions for women to ask potential partners:
- “Where are you going in life? What are your goals and aspirations?”
- “What is your mission?”
Pastor Adefarasin highlighted that while submission is an essential aspect of marriage, it’s crucial for women to choose wisely. “You have the right to choose who you submit to,” he said. “If he lacks direction and purpose, don’t enter into a partnership with him.”
