All 67 Feared Dead in Plane and Helicopter Crash Near D.C.

A devastating midair collision between an American Airlines plane and a U.S. Army helicopter near Washington, D.C. has resulted in the deaths of all 67 people on board. American Airlines Flight 5342, carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, was attempting to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport when it collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter carrying three soldiers.  

The incident, one of the deadliest aviation accidents in U.S. history, occurred on Wednesday evening. Washington D.C. Fire Chief John Donnelly confirmed that rescue efforts have transitioned to a recovery operation, stating, “At this point, we don’t believe there are any survivors from this accident.”
