As they approach day 86 of their 100-day fast and prayer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has asked his followers to increase their prayers.
Speaking during the church’s Thanksgiving ceremony, the priest promised the assembly that those who consistently participate in the spiritual practice would receive “landmark testimonies.”
He recalled how the 100-day fast had previously resulted in both domestic and foreign miracles, such as the appointment of ambassadors by God and the growth of RCCG parishes around the world.
“I rejoice with those of you who have been faithful. The 100 days will soon be over, but I urge you to intensify your prayers. Ask God for your remarkable miracle before the end,” he said.
“The first time we fasted for 100 days, we knew no one in power. But after the fast, a coup occurred, and a new government appointed 37 ambassadors — 29 of them were from RCCG, and they established churches in nations where RCCG had no presence,” he testified.
He responded in response to those who had questioned the church’s fasting:
“When God instructed us to fast again this year, I jumped for joy. Let people call me foolish — I know what God is set to do. If you haven’t joined yet, there’s still time. God is merciful.”
