Early Life and Education

Born on December 7, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, Christian Oyakhilome, often referred to as Pastor Chris, hails from a devout Christian family. Raised as the third of seven children, he attended Edo College and later secured a scholarship to Bendel State University (now Ambrose Alli University), where he earned a degree in Architecture.

The Rise of a Global Ministry

Oyakhilome’s journey into ministry began during his university days. He founded a youth ministry called Youth For Christ, which quickly gained popularity among students. After graduating in 1987, he established Christ Embassy in Benin City and later relocated to Lagos in 1989.

Under Oyakhilome’s leadership, the Christ Embassy has expanded into a global megachurch with branches in numerous countries. His ministry is characterized by a strong emphasis on faith, prosperity, and healing. He is known for organizing massive rallies and healing schools, attracting millions of followers worldwide.

One of the cornerstones of his ministry is the daily devotional, “Rhapsody of Realities.” This devotional is widely read and distributed, providing spiritual guidance to millions of people.
