Early Life

Nigerian pastor, educator, reformer, and visionary leader Pastor Paul Adefarasin is well-known throughout the world. He founded House on the Rock Church, a vibrant multi-site church with locations in Nigeria, Africa, Europe, and North America, and serves as its Metropolitan Senior Pastor. Paul Adeolu Adefarasin was born on January 25, 1963, and comes from a mixed heritage. He is the son of women’s rights advocate Hilda Adefarasin and well-known Nigerian jurist Justice Joseph Adefarasin. He grew up in a household that was firmly rooted in civic and Christian principles.

Paul had an affluent upbringing in Lagos and overseas, but he struggled with addiction and spiritual emptiness until a life-altering meeting with Jesus Christ.

Educational Background

Pastor Paul studied architecture at the University of Miami in Florida, USA, before entering the ministry. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture, he temporarily practiced architecture in the US.

He attended the International Bible Institute of London after experiencing salvation, where he received ministry training. His distinctive approach to church construction and creative leadership was formed by his special fusion of design thinking, international experience, and theological education.

Ministry

Pastor Paul established the House on the Rock Church in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1994. The church has expanded from its humble beginnings to become:
