DAVID IBIYEOMIE
David Ibiyeomie Biography – David Ibiyeomie is a Nigerian pastor, author, televangelist, and the founder/president of Salvation Ministries based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
He was born on October 21, 1962, in Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria. He hails from Bolo Town in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
David went to Banham Primary School and thereafter to Government Comprehensive Secondary Borikiri, Rivers State, Nigeria. He thereafter went to the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt for his first degree in 1980.
He entered into full-time Bible School in 1995 at the Word of Faith Bible Institute, a branch of Bishop David Oyedepo’s Ministry. Salvation Ministries was started by him on Sunday, April 13, 1997, with just over 30 persons in attendance.
CAREER & MINISTRY
After finishing the Bible School training, he started a house fellowship in his residence with his family at Victoria Island, Lagos. David later relocated to Port Harcourt, River State. It is in Port Harcourt he began Salvation Ministries on April 13, 1997, with just over 30 members.
The church moved to a bigger property in July 1997. And by the year 2017, the Ministries average about 50,000 worshippers every Sunday at the headquarters.
The Ministries started 14 satellite churches in a day in February 2011 with all running 5 services each.
He has a television ministry called “Hour of Salvation” and live services with which he reaches millions of believers. The TV program started on NTA channel 10 PH, Rivers State in 2001 and presently runs more than 40 television stations both locally and abroad.
David Ibiyeomie started the construction of a 120,000-seat capacity in 2010.
