Dr. Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, has turned down a N30 million donation from Nasir Idris, the governor of Kebbi State.
This took place on Wednesday during a healing and deliverance crusade organized by Dunamis International at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
The N30 million cash donation was disclosed by a governor’s representative who spoke to the gathering at the ceremony as a token of gratitude from Governor Idris for Pastor Enenche’s presence and spiritual outreach.
But while he recognized and valued the governor’s generosity, Pastor Paul graciously turned down the money on stage.
“We sincerely appreciate the gesture and the governor’s generous heart.
“But we will not take this money. Please channel it instead to orphanages or any other charitable institution of your choice,” he said.
Pastor Enenche requested that the funds be pushed to state affairs after rejecting them.
“We believe government money should be used for government project, and government things, and church money should be used for church things, not mixed together,” he gave an explanation, to the cheers of the congregation who valued the moral position.
