Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, is planning a prayer meeting for the recovery of Nigeria’s economy.

This occurs at a time when the nation is experiencing hardship due to inflation and its effects on Nigerians’ socioeconomic lives.

Adeboye plans to pray for the recovery and growth of Nigeria’s economy during his July 2025 Thanksgiving service, which will have the theme “Divine Intervention,” according to a statement that was made public.

The church’s national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos, will host the service.

At a news conference in Lagos on Friday, Adeboye revealed this information through Dele Balogun, his special assistant on administration.

He said, “Our nation; Nigeria, as well as other nations of the world, are going through a challenging time. However, the good news is that these challenges are surmountable by faith, if we do not entertain doubt.

 “As citizens and stakeholders in Nigeria, we need to drop the garb of negative confessions and plug into the mystery of faith and positive reasoning, to drive positive action, towards moving Nigeria forward.”

According to Adeboye, God has the power to change Nigeria’s economic circumstances.

“To this effect, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye, has undertaken to lead prayers for national economic restoration and enlargement.

“Our nation needs transformation into the realm of divine opportunities.”

Additionally, Pastor Olusegun Macaulay, the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province 1, RCCG, said that God always creates possibilities for divine intervention and that only those who are connected to it can profit.

He said, “We already have a team that is focused on praying for the nation throughout the second half of the year.

“So, our post-activity is focused on prayers; prayers about environment, weather, clemency and many things because once you plant, you also need the environment to be positive for you.”
