Medical Plane Crash Leaves Trail of Destruction in Philadelphia

A small medical transport plane crashed into several buildings in northeast Philadelphia on Friday evening, igniting homes and vehicles and injuring people on the ground. The plane, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was on a medical transport mission with four crew members, a child patient, and an escort on board, according to the company.  

Witnesses reported a chaotic scene with injured individuals and burning structures. Videos circulating online show the plane descending rapidly before a large fireball erupted. Emergency crews responded quickly to the crash site as residents gathered on streets strewn with fiery debris and aircraft wreckage.
