NII OKAI BIOGRAPHY
Nii Okai is a Ghanaian Contemporary Gospel music minister and worship leader.
EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
He was born on the 19th of September, 1977 in Tema, Ghana. Nii Okai went to Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast, Central Region of Ghana for his Secondary Education and proceeded to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He holds an MA in Mission and Theology. In the mid of 2010, he set up “Nii Okai Ministries” – a music missionary in Tema, Ghana.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Nii Okai is presently the head of “Harbour City Maa Choir” (H.C.M.C) – an interdenominational music ministry in Tema, Ghana. His first album titled “Moko Be” brought him to the limelight. It was an 8-track music produced by the famous KODA and it includes hit songs like; “Woana Na” and “Moko Be”. He featured Danny Nettey, Nana Yaa Amihere, and others in the album.
NII OKAI AND THE HARBOUR CITY MASS CHOIR
He happened to be the co-founder of “Harbour City Mass Choir” and interdenominational music ministry in Tema, Ghana with the aim to impact the youth through modern Gospel music, school sensitization programs, music ministry workshops, and peer consulting.
He has albums like; “Moko Be”, “Hymnz Unlimited”, “Worshipful”, “Saving Hearts” and “Holy Writings” to his credit. “Saving Hearts” won him an award at the 16th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for Music for Development Award.
