We have gathered Best John Bunyan Books for you here. John Bunyan was a Puritan preacher and writer from England who lived from 1628 to August 31, 1688. His most well-known work is The Pilgrim’s Progress, a Christian parable that also served as a significant literary model. Bunyan produced about sixty books, many of which were extended sermons, in addition to The Pilgrim’s Progress.

Bunyan was from Elstow, a village close to Bedford. After completing some schooling, he enlisted in the Parliamentary Army at Newport Pagnell at the age of sixteen during the early phases of the English Civil War. After serving in the army for three years, he returned to Elstow and acquired his father’s skill of tinkering.

Following his marriage, he developed an interest in religion. He first attended the parish church before joining the Bedford Meeting, a nonconformist organization at St. John’s Church in Bedford, and eventually became a preacher. Due to his refusal to stop preaching, Bunyan was arrested and imprisoned for the following twelve years after the monarchy was restored and nonconformists’ freedom was restricted. In this period, he started writing his most well-known book, The Pilgrim’s Progress, and wrote a spiritual autobiography called Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners.
