Transformation Today: A Daily Devotional With Victor Adeyemi
Topic: Good Success
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8, KJV.
One of the greatest confusions Christians have today is knowing the right definition of success. The world around us defines success in financial or material terms. The world defines success in terms of fame.
God’s parameters of success certainly do differ from man’s parameters of success. Don’t be successful in the sight of man alone. Be successful in the sight of your God. The purpose is the real principal parameter of success. If you are able to find the purposes of God for your life, and you are able to accomplish the purpose, whether you are successful in the sight of a man or not, it does not matter.
Once you are successful in the sight of God, then you are truly successful. Who can really mark a person as successful when God calls him a failure? If God calls you are a success, you certainly are a success.
As I seek God’s will and walk in obedience to His instructions, my life becomes more successful. With God on my side, my success is guaranteed in Jesus name.
