Ahead of the recent presidential inauguration, a special prayer session was organized in the United States, and Pastor William Kumuyi, the general superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, was one of a select group of religious leaders who participated.
On January 19, hundreds of pastors from all around the world attended the service.
The pastor of one of the biggest churches in the world and a former math professor, Pastor Kumuyi, was asked to pray for the country and its next president.
Speaking to the crowd, Pastor Kumuyi began his prayer by thanking the American church and highlighting its unwavering strength since it is based on the rock of Christ.
He went on to give a specific prayer for the incoming president, requesting divine wisdom and the church’s crucial role in preserving national unity and truth.
In closing, Pastor Kumuyi prayed for God’s resuscitation and the church’s dedication to righteousness and holiness to be strengthened.
