Jerry Eze’s Unfiltered Prayer: “God, Take Me If I Become A ‘Professional’ Pastor”
According to well-known Nigerian televangelist and pastor Jerry Eze, who talks about true ministry, he would sooner die than become a “professional” pastor.
This was revealed by him in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo.
“I’m not a professional pastor, the day I become a professional pastor let God kill me.“
“The day it ceases to be about God and be about Jerry let God close down everything” according to him.
He underlined that his ministry is motivated by more than just expertise; it is a sincere desire for sharing the gospel and helping others.
“True success lies in staying focused on God’s purpose rather than personal recognition,” the clergyman said, adding that he never intended to reach where he is now.
He said, “I didn’t plan to be here, this is not something you plan that at some point youre going to be big and the world will hear of you.
“I know what my assignment is, I know what God has called me to do and it has consumed me.
“I don’t care what anybody thinks or feels but the encouragement is when I see those smiles and hear those testimonies.”
