Osinachi Case Heads to Prosecution
Osinachi Nwachukwu’s Death: Case Transferred to DPP
The FCT Police Command has transferred the case of the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Osinachi, a prominent singer with Dunamis International Gospel Centre, passed away on April 8, 2022, amid allegations of domestic violence.
Following the singer’s death, her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, was arrested on April 10th after her younger brother reported the matter to the police. The case was subsequently transferred from the Lugbe Police Division to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
The FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adah, confirmed on Monday that the case had been transferred to the DPP for further legal action.
Osinachi’s death sparked widespread public outrage and increased awareness about domestic violence.
