Tony Evans was married to Lois Irene Evans until her passing in 2019. Their marriage was a partnership in ministry and family, producing four children: Chrystal, Priscilla, Anthony Jr., and Jonathan.

His children have also made significant contributions to Christian ministry. Chrystal Hurst is a worship leader, speaker, and author, co-authoring “Kingdom Woman” with her father. Priscilla Shirer is a New York Times best-selling author and founder of Going Beyond Ministries. Anthony Jr. is a contemporary Christian musical artist, and Jonathan Evans is a former NFL player and current chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys.

Evans’s family includes 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In September 2023, Evans announced his engagement to Carla Crummie, and they were later married.

Evans is a registered Republican in Texas and has been vocal about his political views. In 2012, he publicly criticized President Barack Obama’s support of same-sex marriage.
