Grammy Dreams: Pastor Paul Adefarasin Joins Forces with Gaise Baba

At the recent The African Praise Experience (TAPE 2025), House on the Rock senior pastor Pastor Paul Adefarasin made a daring announcement: He and Afro-gospel sensation Gaise Baba will collaborate to rework his hit song “No Turning Back” and make it Grammy-worthy. This announcement stopped the audience cold;

“I believe in Gaise Baba’s theology and we will work with him to restructure ‘No Turning Back’ … till we have an amazing song that has the best music engineers from around the world, that perhaps one day wins Grammys.”

The gospel song with the highest charting position in Nigeria’s music industry is “No Turning Back II,” a hit by Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor.

The song, which combines contemporary religious statements with Yoruba rhythms, has received over 4 million streams on the internet and has struck a chord with young Nigerians.

Additionally, the song peaked at number four on the TurnTable Top 100 chart, which monitors music performance on TV, radio, and streaming platforms.

The song, which reinterprets the classic hymn “I have chosen to follow Jesus,” combines lively music with stirring spiritual lyrics to enable it become popular in secular settings.

Many congrats to Gaise Baba on this new collaboration!
