Pastor Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, reported that his recent hip surgery was “100% successful” and that he is now “healing up” and “walking.”
Laurie, the founder of the Harvest Crusade, posted a video clip of his encounter along with the announcement on social media on Sunday.
“A lot of people talk down on prayer these days, but I’ve never been more thankful for it. While I was recovering from hip surgery, so many of you were praying for me, and I want you to know those prayers were answered!”
He also described brief heavenly experiences throughout his hospital stay, claiming that prayer was provided by Christians, including his doctor, the nurses, and the receptionist.
Pastor Greg Laurie underlined the value and effectiveness of prayer in a society that occasionally rejects it, particularly in the wake of tragedies like the most recent school shootings. He urged believers to be steadfast in their thankfulness and faith;
“In a time where some are mocking prayer how important it is for us as Christians to rejoice in the fact that we follow a God in heaven who loves us and hears our prayers.”
