ARCHBISHOP BENSON IDAHOSA BIOGRAPHY
Archbishop Benson Idahosa Biography – Benson Andrew Idahosa was born on September 11, 1938, and went to be with the Lord on March 12, 1998. He was a Nigerian Charismatic Pentecostal preacher and the order of Apostolic judge. Benson Idahosa was the founder of Church of God Mission International and was generally known as the pioneer of Pentecostalism in Nigeria.
He founded Benson Idahosa University (BIU) in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
Benson Idahosa was born to a very poor family and he was faced with serious health issues at birth. His father couldn’t take it that he suggested throwing the young lad away. Benson gave his life to Christ in 1952 while attending a meeting at the Assemblies of God Church.
He officially inaugurated the Church of God Mission International in October 1968. It started as a small prayer group. He was commissioned into the ministry by Pa Elton and James Gordon Lindsay in 1971.
In 1981, Benson Idahosa was ordained as a Bishop and founded the Church of God Mission International. He was the first to start many things part of which was the first TV Evangelist in Africa.
He ordained many others like Wale Oke, Chris Oyakhilome, and Mile Okonkwo and in 1989, Bishop David Oyedepo the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide was ordained by him.
After he went to be with the Lord, his wife took over as the Archbishop of the Church of God Mission International and also the Chancellor post of Benson Idahosa University.
His only Bishop F.E.B Idahosa is the president of Benson Idahosa University, founder and president of Big Ben’s Children Hospital, vice president of All Nations for Christ Bible Institute International, and so on.
