Rick Joyner Biography – Rick Joyner is an American public speaker and author. He was born in 1949 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He grew up in Richmon, Virginia, United States.
Early Life & Ministry
He founded MorningStar alongside his wife in Jackson, Mississippi in 1985. In the mid-1990s, Rick Joyner became the president of MorningStar Publications, based at that very time in Charlotte, North Carolina.
News about him regarding his participation in plans to build a biblical theme park became famous in 1994. It was about him and Reggie White who had attempted to purchase the Heritage USA theme park property without success.
His ministry holds multiple conferences every year and Christians all over the world attend.
In the year 1997, Rick Joyner acquired 320 acres of land in Wilkes County, North Carolina close to Moravian Falls, and moved the headquarters of his ministry from Charlotte to the place.
Also in the year 2009, Christ’s Mandate for Missions collaborated with MorningStar Missions.
He has been an active part of the Apostolic-Prophetic Movement and a champion of the Fivefold ministry and has been considered a foreman in this movement since he published “The Harvest” in the year 1989. He foretold that there would be a Prophetic Movement very soon and a separate Apostolic Movement.
Rick Joyner is also the founder and president of “The Oak Initiative.” It is a non-profit organization with a focus on Christians who desire “to Unite, Mobilize, Equip, and Activate Christians to be salt and light of the world according to the biblical truth.”

Marital Life
Rick Joyner is married to Julie. The couple have five children namely: Anna, Aaryn, Amber, Ben, and Sam. The children have different political views from their father.
